Elha´s new collection, Díglö, was launched in The Soho Beach House in Miami Beach this past weekend (July 22-23th, 2017).
Díglö: water in Cabécar (one of the seven costarican native tribes).
It comes and goes. Water has a cycle.
Definition: Water (n)
1. Liquid substance without odor, color or taste found in nature in a more or less pure state forming rivers, lakes and seas, occupies three quarters of the planet Earth and is part of living beings; is constituted by hydrogen and oxygen (H2 O).
2. A liquid substance obtained by infusion, distillation or other process of a plant substance, such as leaves, flowers, fruits or bark of certain plants.
Digló is a collection that shows water as the main element of life; an element that we do not value or take for granted. It is dynamic, it is cyclic, it is intrinsic to the human being.
We are water.
I consider water so important, that I had to make some jewelry pieces inspire by the water. All the jewelry is dynamic, light weighted and made out of sterling silver, enamels and a gold plated chain. As always, everything is handcrafted with love.
